The Pella Christian Clay Target Team will be hosting an informational meeting for anyone interested in joining the team. This meeting is for families of 4th - 12th graders new to the sport.

Returning team members DO NOT need to attend.

The Fun shoot starts at 2:00pm until dark at Marion County Sportsman Club. Try a round of trap, skeet or 5 stand. A free will donation supper is from 5:00-7:00pm.

Bring your family and friends for shooting, supper and fellowship.

There will be two flights, flight assignments are posted in TeamReach.

Flight 1 - arrive by 7:30

Fight 2 - arrive by 11:00

Everyone needs to be at the range by 9:45 for the team meeting. We will start shooting at 10:30.

Everyone needs to be at the range by 12:15 for the team meeting. We will start shooting at 1:00.

Everyone needs to be at the range at 12:45 PM. We will start shooting at 1:30.

Rookies (4th & 5th graders) will not shoot at this event. Everyone needs to be at the range at 10:45 AM. We will start shooting at 11:30 on field 1, at 1:00 we will have fields 1 and 2 until we are done.

High school will start shooting at 4 pm, Junior High at 5pm and Rookies at 6:00pm. Be sure you are there on time with your gun and shooting bag which should include eye protection, hearing protecting, and a shooting belt or vest. Close toed shoes are required! Be sure to also be aware of what the weather will be like that day and dress accordingly. It always seems colder at the range; it may not hurt to pack extra clothes just in case.

The annual Marion County Sportsmen Club range cleanup day will be held on Saturday, February 24 at 8:00. High School athletes can receive service hours, please bring your form if you would like the hours.

Bring your rakes, shovels, gloves, chainsaws or any other item you feel would be useful. Please label all your items so we make sure they go home with you. We will be cleaning the clubhouse, filling trap and skeet houses and removing trees and brush.

A volunteer training session will be held at 10:00 for all adults willing to help fill trap houses. Please meet at trap house 1 at 10:00.

The 2024 sign-up and safety meetings for the PC Clay Target team are scheduled for Thursday, January 18 from 6pm- 8pm and Saturday, January 20 from 8:30am-10:30am in the auditorium at PCHS. Students from 4th grade through 12th grade may compete on the team. To be eligible to participate on the team for the 2024 season, you and one parent or guardian must attend one of these meetings. Also, please print and fill out all the forms found under the Forms section of the PC Clay Target team website (pcclaytarget.com) and bring them along with you to the meeting along with a form of payment (preferably a check).
